I'm pretty sure almost 190 could be 185-189. The fighter I was talking about being 170-172 was Froch.
Kessler hurt Froch numerous times and made his legs dip. Froch also complained that Kessler's body shots were ''killing him'' or that he was ''killing him with body shots'' (can't remember off the top of my head). Taylor dropped Froch. Dirrell wobbled him. Groves dropped him heavily and hurt him badly. Even during Froch's earlier career he was getting rocked down to his boots numerous times and clearly feeling the weight of shots from the Dale Westerman's and Charles Adamu's of this world, and others as well. Froch is granite tough but he's been in loads of wars and taken an awful lot of physical abuse. Kovalev is too big, too skilled, too accurate, and ultimately too powerful for him. He'd hit him hard and often, to body and head, and inflict the first stoppage loss of Froch's career on him.
Agreed. Though I doubt it would be in Wembley, knowing Kovalev he would push for the fight in Nottingham, I think he loves brutalizing fighters in their home town to silence the crowd.:yep I see Carl getting floored numerous times, and after a valiant effort from the Cobra, the ref waves off the fight. I wish Kovalev would hook up with a Russian billionaire and take those belts back to Russia and make the challengers come to him for a change. He can't keep going into his opponent's backyards/countries and kicking their asses. It'll backfire one day, whether by fair means or foul. Froch might be the best UK based fighter. He's very good, but would be facing a great bigger man. I'd like to see it. Whomever wins adds to his legacy.
