Floyd is unusually quiet leading to the fight on May 2nd. He's abstaining in doing his usual pre-fight antics and trash talks. He's doing a lot of different things this time. This is not the usual brash talking Floyd Jr.

Is it possible that he's preparing to minimize the flak and backlash he will get if ever he loses to Pacquiao?

Floyd been accused of ducking the Pacquiao fight for several years and losing to Pacquiao will lead to more criticism.

Meanwhile Pacquiao seems to be his usual self, smiling and loves training surrounded by a lot of people.

Pacquiao was quoted saying "this is just another fight".

Floyd is shook. He never thought he would actually have to take this fight.

Well since he won't lose. I doubt it. Signs of maturity. Or signs that the A side of possibly the biggest fight in history is just taking it seriously.

For Pacquiao's side there's nothing to minimize. He's the 2-1 underdog, he's expected to lose. He's not the one talking before that it's an easy fight.

Floyd did not want to promote this fight because he knew that Manny was more popular than him. Poor Floyd would not be able to handle seeing all the fans rooting for Manny at every event.

Good if this is the case otherwise it's a bad omen of him acting differently than usual these days.

TBF, the OP may have a point. Unless you're actually in Floyds head or part of his inner circle, you can't completely count out the possibility that Floyd may have a few doubts here and there. As much as you may think its unlikely, it still is possible.

He did this for Cotto and Maidana too. Two fighters that gave him a little bit of trouble.

The truth is, that it's not the 1st time. He didnt do a lot of trash talking prior to the Corrales or Cotto fights either. Just focused on training. What Larry said was spot on, The best fighter just training hard for the fight of his life. Pacquiao fans just seem to somehow take that as somekind of sign. Pacquiao himself just within the last couple days that Roach is closing the gym and asking his fans to respect that he has to focus on training. The fighters seem to be getting it. When will the fans?

Floyd used to being booed during weigh-in and during his ring entrance and introduction but it's expected that the boos will be more loudier and heavy for this fight. :D

Even in Floyd's hometown in Las vegas, I think Pacquiao will be the crowd's / live audience's favorite.

He will still be the crowd favorite after Floyd puts the beat down on him. So much for the crowd favorite.:yep
