Why is Kell Brook calling out Khan when he is a champion and undefeated?

Shouldn't he be calling out Pac or May?

a fight with khan is a big PPV in the UK, and he;d get close to £2mil ($3mil) for it.

his biggest purse to date is probably about £125k ($200k,)

khans a massive name in the uk, everyone knows who he is, outside the boxing fans brooks an unknown. Beating khan will make him a household name and PPV draw.

    Money.

    Public Demand.

    Name Recognition.

Establishing the best in Britain at the weight.

    Historical bad blood.

Kell is calling Khan out, because Kell wants to fight Khan. Simple.

The real question is, since demand is so high, and there is so much money to be made, what is stopping Khan from taking the fight?

    I don't get what you don't get...
Are you implying Khan will beat Brook?

Anyway, big money fight in the UK.

Khan is not the biggest fighter in welterweight and he has been KO'd a few times, so why does Kell Brook badly want to fight him?

When I look at Brook's recent interviews, it's like he lost his wife when Amir picked Algerie over him.

    Thanks.

I get it now but there are other big fights out there for him so he shouldn't be so obsessed with Amir Khan.

    No problem :good

I think he just want that payday and the rewards that come with beating Khan.

Beating Khan and holding the belt would set him in great standing to fight the winner of May-Pac.

Khan is the most realistic big money fight out there for Brook.

    Translation:

Brook has 1 win and only one fight at the world level. He is not as confident in himself as his fans are in him.

Brook wants to cash out in case he has to defend against a real solid level welterweight and loses his title

Brook wants to leech off Khan's hard work i.e. Khan build his name by going outside his nest and fighting guys like Judah, Malignaggi, Maidana, Alexander, PEDerson and Garcia.

In short, it is a career move with least past resistance to most money for Brook.

Brook has good timing. Khan wants nothing to do with him.

Pacquiao and Mayweather don't draw as much as Khan in Britain. Fighting Khan in Britain, since Kell Brook is another British fighter, would be considered a mega fight a la Froch vs Groves which could earn both fighters substantially more than being the B side to a Pac/May fight in Las Vegas or Macau. It's an easier fight for more money.

Floyd and Manny are busy and unable to fight so calling them out now would be pointless.

Khan is the next biggest fight for him and if he wins could lead to Manny or Floyd.

khan with his hubris has an extraordinarily big dumb mouth and needs another chicken dance to get his mind right.
