And Hearn was even saying in this weeks BN that Brook can make 'millions and millions and millions' due to having a belt at Welter, and he is going Box Office etc. Yeah right!
Hate all fights involving Gavin. He's the welterweight version of Audley Harrison. Although that may actually be cruel to Audley.
I wouldn't be shocked if Hearn made it. fast car must have been shocked after watching close up just how drab Gavin can be. He won't want to waste any money/time on a dead duck so it makes sense in many levels. 1)He gets Brook on May 30th to try to justify PPV in a 'battle of the Brits' with Gavin which will wont cost that much 2) he gets rid of Gavin after Brook smashes him or at least has an excuse to keep him as an under card fighter and not having to invest in him as the main event
This fight does not have two outcomes. It has one. Gavin is just not the same man in the pro ranks. It's not about intangibles.
Gavin could lose to Brook, get a few quid then move back down to LWW. where he should be better in a weaker division think he should look for a fight with provo, which he'll either get blasted out, or could outbox him over 12 rounds and have a big name on his scalp and some name value. he's never going to look good in a stay busy, his style isn't suited for it and it kills the atmosphere. Put in against a come forward Mexican style fighter and gavin would look half decent imo.
