I stand corrected, I didn't think I did. I don't watch a lot of amateur boxing, ill be the first to admit that so had only heard little bits of McCarthy, Some of the other I hadn't seen and I had seen Chamberlain so that must have been why I went for him.

Well when not having knowledge of some but having knowledge of others you choose the one you have the most knowledge of overall. I have seen more of Chamberlain than the rest and heard more about him also, that's why the point I made in the thread is relevant.

That's why I said I stand corrected, I had forgotten and couldn't remember if I had voted in the poll as it was a week or so ago

 

Not seen this world class amateur fight, so that would have been an even worse choice on my part. Either vote for someone you have seen fight, or someone you haven't seen fight at all, just heard things of? McCarthy may very well be the better fighter, at the time however I voted for what I knew.

 

so if you had only had seen some half decent guy down your local gym but had never seen mayweather fight so you pick the guy down your local to win it would make sense?

if usyk had been in the poll to and you picked isaac over him because your hadn't seen usyk it wouldn't make it any less ridiculous and emmbarrassing

Slight extreme there, I wasn't going to vote for McCarthy as I hadn't seen him fight and of what I had seen, Chamberlain was the best I had seen and heard about also. No I wouldn't pick him over Usyk obviously, he was either best or second best prospect last year along with Beterbiev. I am pro Matchroom, I think they deliver better fights and better nights than other UK promotional teams, however I am not unreasonable, I can make a call for myself as a pose to just believing Matchroom does everything best or whatever. I do enjoy some of the Boxnation cards, Eubank Jnr I do enjoy watching along with a lot of the scouse lads. Some of Matchrooms stuff is shocking but generally I enjoy that more than Boxnation, is that unreasonable? I think not
