I remember hearing about this years ago.

Austrian skiier Hermann Maier, the Superstars runner-up in 2000, emerged to win three events and capture the 2001 Superstars championship. The first five events saw five different winners. Maier won the bike race over fellow alpine skiier and Olympic champion, Italy's Alberto Tomba. Tampa Bay Buccaneer defensive back Ronde Barber won the half mile. Controversy arrived during the half mile race as Maier finished second ahead of Tomba. However, Maier had run off the path of the road course in mid-race to pass another competitor. Tomba protested and the decision was to flip-flop the second and third place finishers. Chicago Bear linebacker Brian Urlacher lifted 300 pounds to win the weight lifting. Bowling returned for the first time since 1990 and Heismann Trophy winner Chris Weinke defeated the Phoenix Suns' Dan Majerle. San Francisco 49er wide receiver Terrell Owens defeated Urlacher in the final of the basketball competition. Maier started to take command of the competition with a kayaking win over Tomba. Then Ronde Barber surpised Tomba to win the swimming in record time, breaking a record Tomba had set in the preliminaries. Maier won the Sea Doo race, as Tomba was eliminated in the quarterfinals with a penalty for missing the last bouy. Terrell Owens won the 100 yard dash in a record time of 9.02 seconds. Owens time appears questionable. It translates to about a 9.85 100 meter dash, which would place him among the fastest men of all time. This done on sand in sneakers. Tiki Barber got a very quick start, evidently jumping the gun. The on-screen timer, clicked all the way up to 9.09, before stopping at 9.02 a full yard before Owens crossed the finish line. Ronde Barber won the obstacle course, but Hermann Maier's second place finish was more than enough for him to capture the Superstars championship.

It's an amazing game. Best to play against people of similar ability or not light years better than oneself though. The guy I used to play with (Gary) was from Baku, Azerbaijan and he'd been playing since he was a young boy. We were of similar ability so it never got too frustrating for either of us.

 

I'd like to shoot a pawn video with her. :deal

 

Lol It could be done. I'm not bothered where we do it. It could be in a dark dingy castle for all I care. Just as long as I get to spend the knight mating with her in a pawn vid, I'll be more than satisfied.
