Wlad Klitschko has defended the title 17 consecutive times.

Hate the organizations, not the fighter.

Robert Helenus looked spectacular against Peters.

A guy as weak as Peters makes good fighters look better than they are.

Wlad had to run and hand on for his life. Over weight Toney out boxed him with his back to the ropes.

Plenty of people on here who don't seem to know the difference between lineal titles and belts. Shocking.

    wlad def beat peter.

not saying anyone semi decent could have done the same by holding off and running till fat sam gassed and then pounding the now defenceless fatboy.

sam could hit! but he just didn't have the skills to fulfil that strength potential, nor the stamina to fight like a pro boxer.

It's not like Sam Peter had monstrous power, but he was clearly heavy handed. He also punched with the inside of his glove around opponents guard and rabbit punched them, which was kind of ugly but made it harder to hold him at bay

The early, sturdy chinned Sam Peter who tried to walk his opponents down was a good fighter IMO. I don't see many having an easy evening with him. But he was obviously not the kind of opponent legendary match ups are made off. Wlads legacy has a lot riding on him beeing consistent and Wlads appearant attributes as a fighter.

Wlad vs Haye could have been a career defining fight, but it would have required some more drama inside the ring. Wlad peppering Haye with jabs while leaving no opeing by going for the body or trying to counter, technically meets the requirement of hit without getting hit, but it's a kind of a weird way to deal with the situation.

    Oh hi, Dino..

Sanders wants both Klitschko's then retire

I stayed away from the gym at first but I soon got back into training,” said Sanders. “Money was the motivation and the chance to make millions. My goal is to win the title from Vitali, defend against Wladimir for big money and then retire to be honest.

And we've been through this before, I can just repost the same links and own you again, regarding Sanders having a clause in the contract to make a voluntary defense before a Wlad rematch that he exercised.

Wlad wanted an immediate rematch, but Sanders had a clause that gave him a voluntary defense. So the plan was to give him ONE interim match while Sanders had his voluntary defense, than rematch.

Sanders had trouble getting that voluntary defense and decided to take the WBC's offer to fight Vitali first, than rematch Wlad. But he retired, because he lost.

Klitschko, who will travel to the US tomorrow with brother Vitali, wants immediate revenge, but cooler heads at the Hamburg headquarters of Universum Box Promotions are considering an interim fight against the likes a Fres Oquendo, John Ruiz or - surprisingly – the heavy-handed David Tua.

Corrie Sanders will be allowed one voluntary defence of the WBO heavyweight title he so easily wrenched from Wladimir Klitschko’s grasp before he is contractually obligated to fight the 1996 Olympic champion once again.

    Like you probably ? :D
Where exactly he or his people say he dont want to fight Sanders?
Fact is Sander was stripped from WBO belt, cause he refuse to rematch Wlad and go for older brother ....
Wlad fought for the title and lose to Brewster.
