    Which means they are basically the same. I'm Slavic for the record. I said race because some people are so stupid they think people from different countries are different races sometimes...not necessarily anyone on this particular thread but it happens frequently.

    It says "Russian", not "Slavic". I'm pretty sure that it refers to the Russian boxers by nationality and not Slavic boxers by race.

    It certainly wasn't life and death, did you watch that fight? He handled him with ease. Mavrovic wasn't the bum a lot of people think he was either. He was undefeated to that point and sadly never fought again due to injury and illness.

    For the record I'm not saying he was some ATG, he was simply an awkward and deceivingly athletic fighter who would have given quite a few top heavyweights of the era trouble had he not run into health issues.
