If you were Ward would you risk going to Nottingham for a judges decision?

He has to give up home advantage eventually if he wants to fight at the top.
If you look at what the alphabet orgs are doing now, it's pretty clear that for instant the current Floyd situation isn't going to be tolerated anymore once he retires.
Boxers are going to have to face the best out there again, and if they can't make a deal, pursebids will dedicate the time, place and purse.

I always found it very irritating that guys from the US were excused for being "home only" fighters, while when Brits, Germans or Mexicans did the same thing they got massacred by fans and press. Because the US was the so called makka of boxing, and that's just the place where it's losing the most ground. Like fighters from other places needed to be happy to have the "privilege" to fight over there and getting robbed on the cards in many occasions.

If I was Froch I'd worry about going to Oakland for the slack policies on drug testing and Andre Ward's refusal to take the test. :nod

And even when drug testing was agreed to the local commission give the home fighter every chance to get away with it. See the Porter- Brook debacle.

US judges are just as bad as British ones, so it's clutching at straws to find any excuse not to fight Froch in England

The problem with Ward is he never fights anywhere other than home.

The judges in AC NJ USA nearly robbed Ward the first time with the double 115-113's

Of course, he'd earn millions of dollars, boost his profile and probably still win.

what's the difference? the same Froch fans from Nottingham would travel to London or any other city in the UK, same as the judges, they will score it how they see it regardless of which city

if Ward thinks he'll freeze up like Bute when he saw the Nottingham crowd, that's his problem, not Froch's

Ward doesn't want the fight at this point, he's going to fight on BET against a tomato can instead.

    Indeed, what IS the difference?

Why cant Froch fight 2 hours down the road in London?

And no, I dont think Ward will freeze up at the sight of a guy hes already slapped around with one hand

He'd also potentially set up fights with DeGale and Groves over here.
