No. Could still certainly be in best shape possible for age as you originally asked.

He was not fat by any stretch of the word.

Why are you so certain he was not in the best shape possible? I at least have what was officially reported to back my opinion.

Much like the other disagreement your opinion once again is dependent on your believe that everything being reported is a lie. Why believe anything? Kind of conspiracy theoriest if you ask me.

Yet he wasnt in the best shape. Career high in weight, off for a year, slower, reflexes weren't sharp and had stamina issues. So maybe he "could"of been, but the evidence shows otherwise.

Not fat, but certainly no 8pack of abs as you have claimed.

I never said anything reported was a lie, only that trainer do lie for fighters. I disagree with it because i know the difference between a fighter in and out of top shape. That you BELIEVE everything reported makes you look like a sheep.

Didnt Vits in essence lose to a retired fighter in Lewis? Goose says he talked of retiring often and was off for a year. Is that any different than Sanders being off 8 months but Wlad not trying to get the rematch? I guess you have to say the words "im retired" and only than can you no longer be in fighting shape and relevant. Lmao!!

In your educated opinion. Not a fact.

Not fat and yes, I count 8. Where is the fat?

You cant change the fact he was at a career high in weight, and you havent responded to my points of him being slower, with less stamina and slower reflexes, have you? Im not positive, but i think this was pointed out by the broadcasters to during the fight. But hey, what would they know, they only follow the sport for a living.

Lennox was in better shape for Vitali than it gets made out to be IMO. I certainly don't think he was "fat."

I may have to go back and watch it again, but if my memory serves me right I was impressed with both fighters and hated that it had to end because of a cut.

No, nor have I tried to change it.

Because I disagree with these observations.

I don't always agree with the HBO observations.

Picture is credited in articles regarding Vitali/Lewis with other photos from the fight.

Lewis also had the red IBF title for the Rahman 2 win. Just saying.

    Conspiracy, I know.

But you agree with Steward even though he was biased towards his own fighter and we know trainers tell the media what they want to hear instead of the whole truth sometime. Hmmmm....

Steward has always been one of the more straight guys in the business.

Can you find examples of him being a proven liar?

No you were implying the picture was from Rahman II. A bad obsrevation.

In the picture is the WBC and IBO title. Vitali/Lewis is the only fight when Lewis had only those two titles with him. The picture is from an online article that reported on the result of Lewis/Vitali.

You just don't want to awknowledge Lewis's washboard abs because it makes your "fat" comment look utterly absurd. Really, the Vitali fight is the most cut Lewis looked in the 00s. I don't care what the scales said, he was in shape, I believe the reports about it being a great camp they didn't want to waste.

he was in shape, yet at 37 it was most likely his worst physical shape ever in a title contest. just being 37, obvious undeniable physical deterioations.

but fat is pushing it, he was just likely fatter than ever previously, which for a world class athlete is no bad thing.

as is wlad making just 2 defences, that's a stupid thread title- I can count more than two decent defences of wlad.
