I love the British people. Good people and they really know how to support a team/player. Maybe I'm biased, as my Uncle via marriage is British, and therefore, my cousins are of English descent.

You're comparing a country with a population of over 300 million to a country with a population of under 64 million. When you have a larger pool of people to draw talent from, the odds of you finding a great athlete increase.

Hence why you'll find in the United States, larger municipalities will generally have the more dominant youth sport teams. They just have a larger pool of kids to choose from to locate talent.


The British have their own success in boxing and their own reasons to be prideful for their fighters and champions. I don't think it's necessary to get into nationalistic nonsense, as I'm a fan of boxers regardless of their country of origin.
