Sam Vargas was considered a hot Canadian prospect until he was exposed by hard-ass journeyman Pablo "El Sepulturero (Gravedigger)" Munguia.

No, they both have equally nothing to do with scoring.

Weighed with clothes on, we have no idea what he was wearing or what was in his pockets. That could easily be 8 pounds or more of clothes, especially if he was wearing boots of some sort.

IB lamont landed alot of grazing shots doe, if a fighter lands 3 grazing shots and the other fighter lands 1 hard flush shot, who you going to give the round too.. judging criteria is also judged on who lands the cleaner shots, danny was the more accurate puncher in my eyes....what was the connect% for both fighters, i didnt get a chance to see it?

It's quite humorous how people want to scream "epic robbery" on a fight where the power punches favor the winning fighter.

Yes, obviously fights can not always be quantified, but if you look at the vast majority of consensus robberies over the years, the losing fighter has the power punch advantage.

    Harder puncher, not cleaner/more accurate.

Garcia needs to fight someone who will stand and trade with him next.

what about 'defence' & 'ring generalship' those are in the scoring criterion. clearly garcia wasnt landing more the petterson jab was landing throughout the round.

i do agree that the judges have been accustomed to literal foreward movement as effective agression. and thats why he lost. this is just me persoanlly but i dont think it was a true scenario of the fight. a draw was a good outcome. 6 rounds from garcia moving foreward and petterson walking garcia down in the later rounds. that was the fight the judges saw and i guess you did.

but you must be a bit facetious to not see what a lot of us saw in the fight that felt like petterson was winning the rounds.

    Round 1

Spence is letting his quick right jab fly and backing Vargas into the ropes. Left cross by Spence as he gets Vargas twisting away. Vargas is throwing a few left jabs and leaning against the ropes, careening out to his left, in constant pursuit by Spence, blinding from the deluge of right jabs, Spence very fast.

    10-9 Spence
