Díaz jabs his way in low and gets put in a headlock. Díaz is winging right hooks up top and missing. Díaz isn't even connecting very cleanly on the body as Bracero darts in and out and puts up a barrier with his forearms bundled out in front of him. Bracero smothering Díaz's offense well but not generating much of his own. Díaz pushes Bracero into a corner but the ref peels him off. Shoeshine by Bracero. Díaz is shimmying to either side, letting his weight droop while he sizes Bracero up, looking up sideways at him.

Díaz is waving the right jab outward, hacking with it. Bracero is checking the jab with his left glove. Bracero ducks quickly as Díaz charges him, entangling his arms. Díaz is caught again charging in low, bashed with a right across the side of the head. Díaz is throwing combos at the body and missing as Bracero hops back. Wide left hand up top by Díaz, again missing. Díaz scoops Bracero up in a hold and lifts his feet off the canvas. The ref tells him to drop his opponent. Jabs by Bracero and chopping right on the neck. Power shots sprinkling out madly by Díaz. Bracero shoots in, missing a right hand past the head, clinching.

Joel Diaz (whom you may remember as Tim Bradley's trainer) is angry with Díaz for not just walking through Bracero. He says Tito can box a little but has absolutely no punching ability, nothing to hurt Díaz.

 

Round 5

Díaz is strong-arming his way inside and landing uppercuts on the body consistently. Bracero is easing away, catching high wiping right jabs and lead lefts on his mitts. Bracero tries a left hook but is hung up on Díaz's clothesline right arm. They fence with their jabs for a bit standing opposite each other. Very slow last minute.

Was that really Quillin's first time hitting the canvas tonight?

 

Nah, that was his old charge.. from like 2001 to 2009 he was in jail.. robbed someone and some other charge.. did 6 years or something... so sometime in that range.

I searched to see what was up, but nothing about being in jail for the last 1 1/2 years.. looks like he just wasn't getting fights.

I'm kinda impressed with Diaz.. he's dirty.. got's a little swagger.. he's in with a really tough dude.. and he's clearly winning this.. and Bracero isn't an easy out at all.

 

Round 6

Díaz is pawing out with the right jab and high-fiving Bracero. Díaz is throwing heavy shots into the chest, landing awkwardly with Bracero getting a piece of each shot on his gloves playing zone defense. Díaz tries curling a few shots up at the head but can't wrap them around, Bracero keeping his arms in the way and giving Díaz plenty to think about with counter fire on the inside.
