andy was caught cold in the 1st .. heavy knockdown... and was put over again in 3rd in wat mite be described as a dubious knock down... but lee got a knock down in 7th rd and outboxed quillin for most of the remainder of the contest ... all in all a draw isnt that bad considering he was boxing in opponents back yard but truthfully he was robbed:good:good
thanks. hopefully get a replay tomorrow. I was sure there'd be like a couple of small undercard fights...then lee...then this garcia peterson
I said it would be robbery all along remember. It was only a draw cos nothing was at stake. If Quillin made weight he wood have got the decision. Oh well....
Was at the fight and honestly neither fighter deserved to win. Andy is stubborn and will stick the gameplan no matter what. As much as I don't like Quillin, I couldn't have given the fight to Andy. However I'm delighted he didn't lose and look forward to him getting payday vs saunters + the fine vs Quillin(who's IMO is a useless ****). No man deserves it more than Andy a true gentlemen of the sport. I love being able to show people highlight reels of our Andy.
The PBC cards have all started with the main events as that's all that's free to air over there. Was the same the night Broner/Thurman were on etc. On the fight I had Andy down by 7 after 5 rounds but gave him every round after that apart from the 10th. Taking knockdowns into consideration I scored it 113-112 but having saw the 2nd knockdown was a trip I'd say draw was about right. Lee has got some heart and really seemed to figure Quillin out after the 5th so think he'd stroll it if there's a rematch.
PQ didnt want to know after he felt Andys power at the end of the third. Really think Lee has finally developed into the fighter we all hoped he would become really good show from him last night after beong caught cold in the first. Hope he defends his belt back here against BJS but cant see it happening as DdiBella said he wants a unification bout with Cotto next.
Almost the same only for I gave the 12th against Andy aswel.. clear rd for Qullin.. thought Andy done great to come back into the fight... happy he got the draw
It wasn't an exciting fight. I never expected a "polished" performance from either of these two but I was hoping for a wild shootout. All Andys old flaws are still in evidence. Sorry but no way has Booth made him a better fighter. Cotto would murder Andy, never mind Golovkin.
Ah now Len behave yourself, surely youve got better things to do with your life than write tripe just looking for a rise off people,
Alright Moorser, BJ...come back and tell me HOW has Andy improved? All his old flaws are still there. Fact. Booth may be a very decent guy, a good friend and mentor for Andy, etc etc but no way ...repeat, no way... has he made Andy a better boxer.
