Floyd (in the ring only)? Marks out of 10.

    10 out of 10

I love watching him put on a boxing lesson. His level of skill is very rare. A slugfest is a dime in a dozen.

10 outa 10 for all his fights leading to 147, then it dropped to an 8.. but since he has started using his feet less its gone to a 6.

    On a scale of 1 to 10 with 1 being Gatti/Ward and 10 being Byrd/Wiliamson, Floyd is about a 9.

    Below 140? 10

    Above 140? 3

The only real exciting fight that he's had which wasn't against Shane, was against Cotto. Otherwise it's just boring decision after decision.

I'm interested if all the people who have Floyd as a 10 would have Lara as a 9 or 10? I really enjoy watching a technician like Floyd but I have to be honest I'm over the moon about Provo/Matthyse as well. Guess it's the caveman in me.

    Same as.

I respect the technicians, but if a fighter does the bodywork to systematically break a fighter down and get them out of there then I really do admire that.

But when fighter is double negative when their style is negative in general, and they don't go for the finish or even try, then it just bores me to tears due to it being too 'safe'.

Boxing is only chess with gloves on, so if you don't like chess, you won't appreciate the skills involved in hitting without being hit.

You might as well go to any city centre late on a Saturday night to just see two muppets battering lumps out of each other.

Depends what you like to see

If defensive mastery is your thing then 9.5 out of 10
