"Who really won?" The same guy who I've scored it for each of the four times I've watched this fight. Mayweather won the first 5 rounds and 2 of the final 7. 114-112 Mayweather with more decisive rounds won in their immediate rematch.

Great underrated couple of wins for Floyd to snatch the lineal title against the man usually viewed as the best Lightweight of the 2000-2009 decade in his first fight at 135 (spare for Emmanuel Burton a year or two beforehand).

I thought Castillo won. I think the decision went Floyd's way because Castillo wasn't given proper credit for his work to the body. The judges went for the flash that Floyd brought over the substance of castillo's attack. I do think it was a close fight so I would not call it a robbery.

What happened in the rematch is irrelevant wheN discussing what happened in the first fight. one has nothing to do with the other

 

Lets just say for the sake of argument that Castillo won (he didn't). Why TF does it matter. The damn fight was 13 YEARS AGO. Who cares?

 

Could have gone either way IMO.
