Tua's defense is no match for this guy. Louis would be landing every combo he threw. And I think Joe hurts him to the body and gives him alligator arms very early. And the tuaman has zero tricks he can turn to anyway, all he can do is try to slug his way out. I'd like Tua's chances with a much better corner & a jab and a right hand.
rahman and lewis were both physical monsters with 80 + inch reaches, and a big strength advantage over louis, plus they were boxing backwards using their huge size behind their ramrod jabs. chris byrd is waaaaay more elusive than joe louis is.he was an exceptionally gifted boxer who fought in era of monster super heavyweights. galento is a bum compared to tua,and yes galento actually floored louis, imagine if tua catches him with that left hook, even if louis gets off the canvas, tua was a great finisher.
This is a totally unjustified prediction. In the real world nobody ever put Louis out with a single punch, or even came close to doing so, and yes there are punchers like Tua in every era. The bottom line is that Tua failed every time he went up against somebody elite, and there is every reason to think that he would here.
Why is Galento a bum compared to Tua? If you want to go on results, Galento actually beat better people than Tua did. Either way, fighter A doping somebody, is not a rational argument for fighter B stopping them. Does Tua beat Muhammad Ali, because Henry Cooper put him down with a left hook?
on topic,a small pressure fighter arturo godoy gave louis hell, marciano beat him, galento floored him...louis had problems with pressure fighters?he never faced a big, iron chinned hard punching swarmer like a tuaman
Have you actually watched the Goddoy fight? Goddoy gave Louis problems mainly because he was crouching so low that his gloves were on the canvas. I shouldn't even need to tell you why the Marciano fight is irrelevant. Galento did drop him, but he also got battered senseless in a couple of rounds, hardly suggesting that this is a good model for fighting Louis. I don't think the case stands up here.
the fact is godoy was a come forward pressure fighter, marciano also(he beat a past prime louis),and galento also.fact is louis had problems with all of them, and he isn't lennox lewis 6'5 245 lbs 80 + inch reach to use his size to outbox tua.louis would stand in front of tua and that's not a good idea. as for galento-tua,you have this thread so post here if you want http://www.boxingforum24.com/showthread.php?t=474061 i like this quote
Max Baer? Baer also came in injured so regardless of a dive, Louis' best (or 3rd best at worst) win has a huge asterisk over it.
I can see a Tami Mauriello type of affair, with Tua starting fast, shaking Louis up and maybe causing Louis tp take a brief count, but then all hell would break loose, with the Brown Bomber raining napalm of the Tuaman, hurting him like he's never been hurt before, so quick and so suddenly that before you know it, Tua is face down wondering what hit him. I think Tua might make it to the end of the round and the 2nd would have been a more measured, calculated battering, with another kd followed up with a barrage that would call for a speedy and timely stoppage by the ref.
Nonsense...i love Baer, but he was a frozen with fright cigar store Indian and Louis put on a masterclass against him. One of the greatest dismantlings in ring history.
