Rigo is coming to UK to confront Scott Quigg and hopefully shame Scott into fighting him.
Despite being the MANDATORY challenger to Rigo, top contender and mandatory challenger, Scott Quigg and his management persist in not taking their MANDATORY shot at the champion.
In one of the greatest farces in boxing history, a champ is having to pursue a challenger!!!
Will Team Quigg be SHAMED into action?
You couldn't make it up! :patsch

Without getting involved in a Quigg / Frampton kerfuffle...

Do we think that losing to Rigo but putting up a decent fight would actually increase Quiggs reputation?

Surely from a reputation point of view losing to Rigo should be the same as losing to Mayweather or Ward? In that its just to be expected, but run them close and your reputation should be enhanced

Makes me laugh how Quigg has been 'champ' for so long but hasn't faced a mandatory. Brook had to face one asap!

Rigo would clown Quigg so bad.

Brook didn't have to face his mandatory straight away. They chose to because it was a relatively easy fight for a comeback from injury and got the mandatory out of the way for a while.

Point on Rigo is still right though. Hence Gallagher saying it's not worth Rigo coming over to go after the Quigg fight, because 'Rigo doesn't speak English' .... him and Hearn are doing a great job in making Quigg look stupid when he actually seems like a nice enough bloke.

Yes there is that angle alright. At this stage Quiggs stock would be much higher if he had fought Rigo 2yesrs ago and been hammered. Nobody would have blamed him.

Could work out nicely for quigg this. I feel like he's gained a lot of respect in the fact that he's pushed for the frampton fight and frampton and co have bottled it. I feel like the public have always thought it was the other way round but now neutrals seem to have realised that its framptons side that's the problem. The natural progression would be donaire then rigo but if quigg agrees to fight he will gain yet more respect and with frampton having no chance at securing a fight with Santa Cruz it leaves him with a defence against a nobody

I reckon if he fights rigo win or lose he moves up after that. Only frampton and Santa Cruz worth fighting and neither seem to want it

Rigo and his team have seen the amount offered to Frampton, and would like a slice of that pie, that is the reason why they are making noise's.

But carry on convincing yourself that Rigo has only just gotten Hearns number Len.

Frampton vs Quigg is a bigger fight in terms of revenue for both fighters, but i'm sure Eddie could generate income and interest in a Rigo vs Quigg promotion.

Rigo would certainly earn more fighting Quigg in the Uk than Frampton in Belfast.

I think Quigg would be the first to admit that beating Rigo would be a big ask, and he's said numerous times in interviews that Rigo is the main man in the division, whereas Wee Barry and co are constantly banging on about Frampton being better than Rigo.
