Good god, where did you get that from? Go back, read the question again and than respond before putting your foot in your mouth. As far as what you're saying....sure i think Vits was afraid to be stopped. Not because Byrd was going to knock him out from punches but because he would have stopped him due to exhaustion from missing so many punches. Anyone who has ever fought can tell you it takes more out of you missing punches than landing them. Vits saved us tje speculation amd just quit instead. Smh.

this post is even more laughable than the one I replied to. He was injured and quit. It had ZERO to do with exhaustion or getting stopped.

He was injured. It is as simple as that. Merchant put it best after the fight he said "he could have just stood in the middle of the ring for the final 3 rounds and he still would have won the fight"

I dont understand why he quit or why he didnt try to avenge. I do know he should be thanking Lennox Lewis. If Lewis had never fought him Vits would always be remembered for quitting against Byrd.

Getting punched out of the fight is what happened to Lennox against McCall and Rahman. He quit because he was injured. He didn't quit because of exhaustion :rofl:patsch

So you're saying he had no heart. Ok, got it. By the way, you still havent answered the question you originally responded to.

    You are BLIND.

Vitali threw more, landed more, and controlled the action until the very end.

Larry Merchant said Vitali could have given away the final rounds and still won.

Harold Lederman, HBO's unofficial judge, had Klitschko ahead 88-83 at the time of the stoppage. About how I saw it. Lederman never screws up an easy fight to call.

The official judges had it very close to the reliable Lederman:

judge: Melvina Lathan 88-83 | judge: Dr Ruben M Garcia 89-82 | judge: Joachim Jacobsen 88-83

This is enough of an consensus Two HBO veterans, plus three judges to conclude Vitali was in the lead by a good margin.

I knew it would not be long before the scumbag, parrot patrol took the bait and showed up on this old thread. Why they did not take notice of it initially is beyond me. :huh

Do you think it shows a lack of heart not lasting out the last 3 rounds for victory?

Because it was an idiotic question. The guy was injured and quit had shoulder surgery and was out for almost a whole year. Do you think he would go though all that if nothing was wrong and he was just 'tired' like you are trying to say?:lol::rofl:rofl

He wasn't ever the same after the surgery on his shoulder either he was a much better puncher before that happened.

With his Chin I would have literally just thrown the occasional punch and stood flat footed. Byrd had no power to bother him and couldn't even reach his Chin anyway he was punching him in the chest and shoulder. This idea of Byrd "walking him down" is laughable. Byrd would not be able to KO him in 45 rounds much less 12 even while injured.

Asking what round his punch output slowed down and when he stopped using his injured arm is an idiotic question? Than answer it. Truth is we know he never stopped throwing it, never slowed down. He just got more tired, more tired and quit. You cant xhange this which is why you're refusing to answer it.

out for almost a whole year. ??? haha haha

He was back in the ring 8 months later , which means he was back in training soon after his quit job.
    There was no injury. None.

The Birdman ran the gas tank out of him so he took the loss and went home early. Simple as that.
