So? Didn't you say Pernell didn't have another fight until two years later?

I forgot about that fight but your commenting on a fight that PERNELL WON! And Pernell didn't test positive for coke in the Oscar fight so bringing this fight up doesn't even make sense for you.

Oscar took his soul? lol Whitaker was probably coked out when he fought Oscar and Oscar even then barely won. I was wrong about Oscar avoiding Winky so I stand corrected although Winky challenged Oscar after Mayweather retired and Oscar ignored him. De La Hoya was willing to make the fight earlier.

    :deal

When Forrest became a first time world champion he was fighting at WW (147), he beat Raul Frank to win the Vacant IBF title.... at that same time Oscar was becoming a 5 division champion, 8 time world champion by beating Javier Castillejo for the WBC Jr. MW title.

Forrest was never Oscar's mandatory, nor was he #1 contender at 154 when Oscar unified there. Just two years after becoming champ, Forrest gets KTFO by Mayorga, and then loses a UD to Mayorga. Oscar De La Hoya SONNED Mayorga becoming Forrest's grandaddy.

Pacquiao was a joke to Hoya, it was a circus act that back fired. It wasn't like it was a challenge to him.

Then it's fair to say that both Mayweather and Pacquiao beat a coked out, shot Oscar De La Hoya. After all, ODLH was about the same age Whitaker was when he beat him...main difference is that Whiatker was considered the #1 P4P champ when Oscat fought him.

I'm okay with that. He was probably also cross-dressing then too. Mayweather fought a better version of Oscar but neither one of them beat a prime Oscar.

I don't think Oscar believed Pac was a joke, he respected him as a fighter but was ****ed at him for going to Arum when I think Pac signed on to go with Golden boy or something of that nature, and oscar wanted to beat him for it. Pac was a wrecking machine though and everyone seemed to think Oscar would roll over him easily, I didn't think that though. Especially seeing how much Stevie Forbes was able to hit and damage oscar in the fight before the Pac one. Oscar SHOULD have went with Margarito, would have easily outboxed him and retired on a good win but maybe its a good thing since Marg was still using his wraps then I believe and could have busted that washed up version of oscar up.

Ok, so you're just a hater. Exposed now.

Its funny, this cross dressing thing is ridiculous. Since when does a man get ragged on for partying with a hot chick, getting F'd up and doing silly stuff like trying on her cloths when the whole meeting was based on him getting laid? Who cares? the only thing that went wrong that night was oscar letting her take pictures. I've seen guys do 10x worse that when on Coke or other drugs. And as long as its to do with banging a hot chick, its all good. lol

I'm a hater because I think that a man that cross-dresses is a little "odd"? lol I wouldn't put on women's clothes to get in the sack with any woman. I guess your standards are different though. If you have seen guys do worse, I can imagine the type of parties you go to. lol I just saw that you are from Toronto. Did you see those guys do worse in some club on Church Street?

I agree, dude. No one is criticizing his resume'. I just threw those two names out to provoke a reaction.

The article makes a good point to me, is Oscar an ATG because of who he fought or who he beat? Oscar came up short in nearly every big fight he was in post Trinidad. Oscar had the desire of an ATG but not the skills and talent of one. Resume alone is not enough what talent or skill has he left is to admire other than perfecting the fighter/businessman model?
