    yeah, but I have a sneaky feeling that WBC will give Cotto a pass if he wins this fight and then wants to fight Canelo or Floyd for the mw lineal title. :think

    This! I would hope GGG unifies the other titles in this time period ( Cotto doesn't fight often)or fights the lineal SMW champ.

    I wonder if it will go through. Would the WBC really strip Cotto if a Canelo bout was being negotiated? WBC did hand Canelo his 154 WBC belt on a silver platter.
    In adition, Golovkin is already paying for his interim title. WBC is making a lot of money off the MW division.
    And lets not forget that Golovkin would have to agree to a 70-30 split.

    Cotto will never fight Golovkin. I think people need to start accepting that.

    yep...that matchup proves nothing anways....all it does is give ggg a name to use to launch a ppv campgain....but it would be a farce anyway
