http://www1.skysports.com/boxing/ne...fight-nonito-donaire-and-guillermo-rigondeaux 1 - Fail to mention Rigo as the WBA champ. Only mentions his WBO title. 2 - Give Donaire a high profile crack.... LOL!!! A crack when Donaire has achieved more as a fighter?? and a crack at what? A paper belt. Lucky him
Gallacher's 'he doesn't speak English' comment is s****ing the barrel as far as reasons not to make the Rigo fight.
To be fair, not speaking English was meant as the reason for rigondeaux not coming to the uk to call quigg out.
anybody else think that if Quiggs name was replaced by Frampton a certain someone would be all over this thread (or creating it)??
Yeah I know, but lets be realistic... Gallagher doesn't want Rigo putting any pressure on them to make the fight, because he knows full well Quigg gets his **** handed to him.
Sky are notoriously biased towards anyone in the matchroom stable, their p4p ranking usually reflect this... lets face it outside of the ring the sport we love is not a sport, its a circus show on a par with WWE
Imagine Rigo vs Quigg. Rigo would take Quigg to school, it would be a true boxing masterclass. I do believe Quigg himself is game for any fight but Hearn and Joe Gallagher would not put him in there with Rigo. Scott Quigg is a paper world champion. Only Sky Sports and Matchroom recognize him as a true world champion. At least Frampton holds a legitimate belt and beat a good opponent twice to capture it. Quigg just fights bums.
They certainly did, great call! Tho a UK paper champ is prob more lucrative than a Russian one and calling that fight prob generated a lot more cash than calling Rigo vs Quigg? I certainly remember Povetkin had the reg belt for a long period b4 the fight was called?..
