Do not go gentle into that good night,
    Old age should burn and rage at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,

Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

    -Dylan Thomas

What is your Favorite Performance from an old past their prime once great fighter, that is considered shot and has no chance yet they pull it off, or come close one last time.

My recent favorite was Morales-Maidana, it was a thing of beauty.

In the clearing stands a boxer and a fighter by his trade
And he carries the reminders of every glove that laid him down
And cut him till he cried out in his anger and his shame
I am leaving, I am leaving but the fighter still remains...

Even though he was outboxed and beaten down for 1 rounds. Hopkins deserves a ton of credit for having the huevos to fight the scariest man in the sport at 50 ****ing years old:deal

May not quite be on the same level as the other examples, but CST80 - for your consideration, Burns was being fed to Figueroa the other night, brought in as a PBC opponent, and he fought like the Burns of old and damn nearly took it.

He was worth getting behind in that fight :good
