I understand were you're coming from mate but what I want you to understand as well is its not as simple as just not allowing anyone to have more than one account.

Like I mentioned before having more than one account is not always for trolling.

I don't think anyone is arguing you can get rid of trolling entirely by getting rid of alts. But I think it would cut down on it because it forces you to be more accountable. The argument that we shouldn't do it because it wouldn't completely eradicate it has basic flaws. If that were the case then we should never have strived to rid Africa of Malaria. I'd also like to be able to go to a poll and know that the results aren't hopelessly tainted.

What are the actual positives that the site gains from allowing users to have multiple accounts?

 

I may have missed it because I joined the conversation late. What do you think are the other purposes of having another account? Or what positives does it bring to the site?

I really take issue with you trying to compare striving to get rid of malaria in Africa to getting rid of trolling on a boxing forum for the most part I find the trolling light hearted and funny.

For me if I get annoyed by a user I just ignore them I never let it get to me mentally.
