I was more excited when he was going to fight Abril though wasn't I you mong. Domestic fights are sound, but Khan not giving us any domestic fights when he's been at world level and there hasn't been any domestic LWW or WW at world level isn't a stick to beat him with.

Seriously, I maybe missing the point...

How will fighting Brook potentially lose him millions?

He fights and loses to brook now there's zero chance of getting one of the big two

OK but fighting Algieri gets him May or Pac? I can't see that personally. Khan has nothing to offer May or Pac, no belt, no big win at WW and his last real business at LWW he was smashed by Garcia who is looking worse every time he fights.

Try and sell Khan off the back of Algieri and this negative reaction.

I think people are underestimating how much this negative reaction from boxing fans all around the world will damage Khan's chances of a May or Pac.

We say is negative but Algieri is pretty known in America so it wont affect him over there (which is where it matters) Khan has been in this position before, realistically all he needs to do is not get beat and he'll land one of the big 2. If it's Pacquiao in Macao so be it, but he's getting one of the 2.

Once that happens, he'll still get the Brook fight, it won't be worth any less either because the British public won't care that he was smoked by either Pacquiao or Mayweather. If he lost to Brook, that's it - possibly for his entire career.

Khan is fighting a former world title holder good enough to beat guys like Provodnikov in a non-title fight. I'm not excited about the fight but its not terrible either. The guy was just good enough to fight Pacquiao in a PPV.

Brook, after beating a pastry is again defending his belt against a guy who is not even good enough to win a European belt. If Gavin was fighting Khan for a world title fight surely, the reaction would not be so subdued here.

If Brook could not fight Khan he very well could have had a fight against any decent world level fighter such as Maidana, Thurman as they would have happily fought him. However, Brook like his fans have no faith in his own abilities, therefore he will continue padding his already padded record. 34 fights all poor opposition except 1.

So what is basically being said is Brook has a very good chance of beating Khan, Khan knows it and is trying to avoid any danger?

As for Pacquiao and Mayweather, I honestly believe they will have two fights, May and September and both retire, there is nothing else for either of them to do, prove and nobody really left to fight.

Mayweather said one more in September and I believe him, he looked flat and drained after Maidana and I believe Pacquiao will take his wad of cash and move into politics like he always said he would. These two are not that young anymore, this is the pinicle, it doesn't get bigger than this, anything else is a come down.

I just can't see Khan getting either fight, he is not ranked high enough, not beat a genuine top WW. Apart from Khan and his fans nobody else is calling for it.

Take Maidana for example, he beat Broner in an upset, an exciting fight, a fight were he shocked a few people. What has Khan done? So what if he beats up a LWW who can't punch at LWW?

Khan needed to beat Thurman, Bradley or Brook and even I would say he deserves a shot at either Pac or May but Algieri shouldn't even get you a title shot at WW.

This Algieri fight and this negative reaction will not go unnoticed by Mayweather and Pacquiao's teams.

No, May 30th worked for Brook and Khan, there was no good excuse for knocking back a career high payday and a world title fight for Algieri.

    Brooks first choice was Khan
    Khan's first choice was Algieri

That's why fans are taking it slightly easier on Brook, he tried to make the fight and Khan made every excuse to avoid it.

Personally I don't see how fighting Algeri helps him get floyd/manny but he doesn't lose and the brook fight is still there

Khan is fighting Algieri as stay busy fight, nothing more.

In itself that fight does not 'get' him a title shot at the WW titles that Pac or May have.

In Khan's somewhat deluded eyes he already deserves the shot. Because he believes he is in line for a shot at the top dogs, it makes no sense for him to risk his 'next-in-line' position by fighting stiffer opposition, like the guys you list above.

The only good thing for Khan is its another camp another fight with Hunter in his corner. I fancy Kahn to get a stoppage actually I think a tall fighter who he can outspeed in all departments who isn't a puncher might be made for him.

Is going to have to face a banger soon. Thurman Brook who ever.. The rebuild is almost complete under Hunter its time to roll the dice and see if he can become a belt holder again
