Lloyd Marshall, the rare footage we have of him in his 30s looks on par with Roy Jones at his best. The man must have been something else in his youth.

more than likely yeah .... completely different reactions but the same reflex's. Reflex is the info being sent to the brain ie the speed of light/electricity which are the same thing. How they brains then process and action that are the reactions which where totally different in Marg and Ali's case

For example do you think if u threw a punch at a 9yr old Ali/Clay he would slip it and counter ?! course he wouldnt he would have the reflex to see the punch comin but woulnnt have been able to react to it .... they are different things. It takes years of drilling, practicing before he would have developed the reactions he had.

    this make any sense?

he has been mentioned, he wasnt just all about reactions however a lot of it was controlling range and his footwork by all accounts. The other reason he may not be in this too often is the amount of reference material we have is far far less we more or less go on reports from boxing historians on what he was like unfortunately

    Someone mentioned catching a ruler.

I remember once in physics class, we tested our reflexes by catching a ruler, and then looking at where our hand is to see how fast we are. I got .5 second reflexes.
