Luis is on form, beat Karl dargan recently. He might wear Derry down as much as I'd like him to win

And dargan is actually very good fighter but couldnt cope with the come forward brawling. Derry will get stopped mid rounds

 

Vazquez went public saying it was a matter of wanting more money. I don't remember it having anything to do with the issue you mention.

 

Bouncing cheques create a massive amount of insecurity , less and less fighters willing to engage nowadays with the W4rrens

 

Well then they would just refuse to fight? Not say they are going to fight and then pull out?

 

Obviously certain promises and gurantees are made at the point of signing the fight but as it draws closer especially with FW certain things dont materialise , Hense so many FW Fights have fallen through and continue to do so , tell me any other promoter who goes through so many legal wrangles and puts companys into liquidation and resurfaces under another name , to date weve had Sports network , FW Promotions , W promotions , Queensbury promotions to name a few :deal

 

Frank doesn't pay the fighters in the correct timeframe, he usually expects them to accept it as they've gone through the camp and just hope they get paid afterwards. Obviously Abril didn't want to be ripped off.

Luis is a very legit contender.This is going to be a tough night for Mathews.

Derry the underdog according to the bookies, apart from a boxrec surface knowledge I have to admit that Tony Luis is a mystery to me. Derry can certainly be outworked, can Luis take a punch?

 

He has been stopped but his last performance was a good one when he beat an undefeated prospect, watched that fight and he worked hard from bell to bell and just kept coming, the other kid did not know what to do to stop him.

That being said he is nothing special and may only be British title level which means that Mathews would have a chance definately. He is quite a head down fighter as well and can see his head messing up Derry's face as the fight wears on. I don't think he is as good as Marsili was before he beat Derry but he would not be that far behind.

Not a confident pick but would pick Luis by stoppage, very happy to be proved wrong though on this one.
