Simple question, Did Mayweather jr duck a PRIME Manny Pacquiao?

No there's enough evidence out there that supports Team Mayweather. Roach admittedly said they walked during the 1st negotiations. Does it even make sense, that he ducked a prime Pacquiao, while he himself was closer to his prime, only to fight him when Mayweather himself, is even further past his prime than Pacquiao?

Well, no. They weren't in the same weight class when either was prime, or even close.

That wasn't prime Manny Pacquiao. That is when his fame started to peak.

In 09" Manny ducked Floyd, the only time you can really say Mayweather didn't try to make the fight was directly after the Bradley & Marquez losses.
Immediately after thoses fight's he refused the bout and told em to get some win's or avenge some losses.
People have this grand theory that Floyd waited for Manny to lose but he did more to make the fight both times Manny was winning than he did when he was losing.
Think about it.
Manny coming off Cotto,Hatton,Hoya got a 50/50 split(which was 25mil at the time) his choice of both fighter's gloves & ring size ect..
Coming off Rios,Bradley, Algeri he got 40%(which ended up being 100mil crazy).
Coming off what should be a 9-3 loss to JMM III he got offered 40mil(so that's 25mil in 09",40mil in 12", ended up 100mil in 15").

Coming off the Bradley loss and JMM Ko he refused to fight and said get some win's.

Every other time it was Manny who refused, to take on some unranked/coming off a loss opponent, while Mayweather went out and started collecting all the Real Title's.

Here's the thing. It's hard to say.

Bottom line is it's hard to make the fight because they aren't in the same weight class. Pacquiao could have spent most of his career at 122-130. Right now he could make 135 with ease.

Floyd is a bigger man and it's much more difficult to make fights with fighters of different size.

 

Manny hasn't been at 130 or less since 2008. Do people realize it's been 7 damn years since Manny was prime?

So think about that before you say Floyd ducked him outright.

 

Who left negotiations and signed a fight with a guy coming off a loss in 3 days? That'd be Pacquiao.

The truth of the matter is: Pacquiao ducked Mayweather. They are hoping now at 38 years of age, he's finally slowed down enough.

Anybody who objectively looks at the timeline of the 2010 negotiations, and the public statements made, knows that Pacquiao ducked Mayweather and fought Clottey instead. It was shameless and the fact people defend that trash is hilarious to me.


But yea: Mayweather ducked Pacquiao, even though Pacquiao agreed to drug testing WITHOUT A CUTOFF when he walked away from negotiations over a 14 day cutoff in 2010. atsch AND, he's taking 10% less today when he was offered 50% in 2010.

So if Mayweather "ducked" Pacquiao, why were the terms offered to Pacquiao in 2010 BETTER FOR PACQUIAO than 2015? If anything, a logical person would say the harder stance in the 2015 negotiations is more likely to kill the fight. In 2010, Floyd compromised.

 

When did that happen ?

 

Logic: In 2010, Pacquiao walked away from negotiations over a 14 day cutoff. He signed a fight only 3 days later against Clottey who was coming off a loss. Mayweather had already agreed to split the purse 50/50.

2015: Pacquiao agrees to drug testing with NO CUTOFF date. He also takes 40% instead of 50%.

The terms Floyd offered Pacquiao in 2010 were MORE FAVORABLE than the terms offered in 2015 that made the fight. In which case, how do you say he ducked the man when he offered him a BETTER DEAL in 2010? You can't.

 

Just three or four months ago Mayweather was still saying:

"It ain't about hard fights, its about smart fights .... I've worked hard to get where I am and stay undefeated .... I'm not about to risk all that against someone like Pacquiao in desperate mode."

Next thing you know Les Moonves takes an unprecedented step out of the shadows and suddenly Mayweather wants the fight?

Mayweather would still be ducking Pacquiao today if it was up to him.

The Mayweather haters have not come to grips with the reality that Mayweather offered Pacquiao more favorable terms in 2010. So if he offered better terms in 2010, compared to the terms that actually made the fight in 2015, how do you claim Mayweather ducked him?

It was also not Mayweather who walked away and signed a fight in 3 days, it was Pacquiao. The hate for Mayweather is laughable.

Pacquiao takes no cutoff, and 10% less in 2015, but Floyd "ducked Pacquiao" for offering him a 14 day cutoff and 50% in 2010. You can't make this lunacy up. LOL
