Mayweather promotions are out of their depth here

It is a disgrace to not have the ticket situation sorted out by this time. The only thing I can imagine is... Mayweather Promotions is trying to stand firm and receive a large amount of the tickets for their distribution. They know these are all "golden tickets" and Mayweather wants to milk all the cash he can including resale-ing as many tickets as possible. These tickets will sell out if they go on sale the afternoon of May 2. The demand is there.

I have my room booked (since January 5) at the Luxor and I want to secure my closed circuit tickets for the fight. I am very interested in the ticket situation because I WILL be in Las Vegas for this event! I definitely want me and my wife (who is Filipino) to have the best possible view of a large screen to watch this fight. I have conceded I will not see the fight at the MGM Garden Arena, but I do want to experience the atmosphere of the whole weekend, betting on the Thursday and Friday fights, and ultimately watching the May/Pac fight with a fantastic view of the action.

I spoke with a representative from the MGM Grand Ticket Reservation Office today and she said they have never seen a fight where tickets where not on sale two weeks before the fight like this, especially one of this magnitude.

It is a disgrace!

 

There is a certain level of honor, professionalism and integrity that business men must show to remain successful in long run. Ellerbe and the money thugs (tmt) have a total disregard for any of these things. Yes *****s can say that tickets will get sorted out and all is good but obviously key people are angry and in disbelief of what is going on. For crying out loud, biggest fight in history and tickets are not for sale yet but even worse is that no contract between promoters and mgm is signed!! Key people are concerned and there are apparently unsettled disputes. If it's true that haymon and ellerbe re trying to get more tickets in violation of original terms then it's nothing but thuggery. This is a reflection of mayweather's character and TMT's thuggery.

 

I dont think Mayweather got anything to do with this he is to busy with training. I just think its incompetence from a guy with an education level of a goldfish AKA Ellerbe.

 

I'm sorry, what fact did you state? Golden Boy was part of the promotion, yes. But so was Mayweather Promotions. Name a top 5 Grossing fight GBP did w/out Mayweather Promotions.. I'll wait....................................................................

He does hate on Floyd a lot but he is also right on this point. Correct me if I'm wrong but this is TMT's first time being the lead promoter for a fight this big. Although I agree that to some extent the fight sells itself, I can't help but think that a little bit more promoting wouldnt hurt. Now 2 weeks to go and no tickets have come out? It's like amateur hour. TMT Promtions remind me of a little boy insisting he could do something only to realize later on that he was way in over his head.

 

my word...look at all these butthurt fgts crying about some **** that doesnt affect them one bit .....how many tix are going on sale to the gen public 600-700? 1000? lol....they can sell that in 15 seconds.....

 

All I'm saying is that I'm pretty sure that they know what they are doing, and it's not just Mayweather Promotions, it's also Top Rank Promotions, this is a co=promoted event. Just as was by my original point The 2 top grossing fights of all-time both co-promoted by both GBP and Mayweather Promotions.
