He was very exiting when he burst on to the scene at the Olympics and drew 10mil viewers for his fights on ITV, which is always good for boxing. now khans seen as a bit of a joke, and for a variety of reasons isn't exactly mr popular.
true, on the flip side I'd say a good proportion of the muslim community support him more when they probably wouldn't with other boxers.
I enjoy his fights not so much when he speaks. It gets old him calling out pac and fmj when if he fought and beat a thurman or maidana again i think he would get that fight
Most Muslims actually dislike him. Far too arrogant & acts like a moron. His northern accent doesnt do him any favours either
You're still here? Haven't you got boxes to carry in the warehouse? Check how many of your posts are mentioning council estate, benefit and chavs. Something tells me you are deflecting your own problems on to others
A bit of a joke? He's arguably the third best welter in the division, not too shabby being third place to two ATG's.
he should be the 3rd best, But that's based on what he could do and what he's capable of, rather than what he's done in the ring since losing to garica. most people don't have a great opinion of him hence me referring to him a joke.
He hasn't done anything to put himself third best, right now he's 6th at best after the big two, brook, thurman and Bradley (in no particular order)
His move to Sky was a bit of a downer after being built up by ITV. I think Khan is a very, very decent fighter (arguably third or fourth in the welterweight division) but comes out with some rather delusional stuff from time to time. I hope he fights either Manny or Brook next.
Didn't vote on your limited polll. 6 negative options and then 1 positive make your poll fairly poor. I'm not a fan but respect him and his boxing qualities, which are very decent. Not the biggest fan of him as a person, but I don't dislike him. Questionable aspects of his personality and his boxing ability, but overall 'he's alright'.
He never actually had me. I heard the hype from I think before his pro debut and probably started following him regularly (from curiosity what all the fuss was for, mostly, not that he was some unrivaled joy to watch) circa...I think maybe Stefy Bull? And even the he seemed a right tit.
I hated him to begin with, although I've relaxed that stance seeing how under rated he gets on here by people who rate the likes of Broner and Ortiz but apparently it's Khan amongst them that is the bum.
I still follow him based on his skill set and talent. I have done so ever since teh 2004 Olympics. His faith, felonies and fidelity are a matter of complete indifference to me. I judge him on boxing criteria alone. Like him or not, he is still the best pure boxer we have in Britain today, and suspect chin aside he has the potential to be P4P. Other than Pacquaio, he is the only fighter out there that could effectively challenge for Mayweather's slot. Like others though, I wish he would fight better opposition, including Kell Brook.
