Will Mayweather make the same mistake as Algieri and Bradley?

when a boxer fights Pac, he realizes only 2 things after few rounds, Either he backs pedal like Mosley, Clottey, Cotto, Algieri, or fight like a man and try to KO Pacman like JMM, Bradley, Rios, Margarito....

Also, not sure if anyone paid close attention, but in Cotto vs Pac, Cotto boxed at a distance behind his jab in round 1, and did well. In round 2 he gets pretty confident and starts to square up with Pac, thinking hes the bigger man and decides to stalk Pac, which was the beginning of the end for him.

I wonder if Pacs small stature makes these guys think hes vulnerable to them when they would normally not be the punchers.

I'm not a big fan of Roy but he's THE ONLY ONE who saw Algieri's game plan early in the fight.

Maidana, Castillo and Cotto had successes against Mayweather.
Pacquiao will bust Mayweather's face up. Pacquiao via decision May 2.

I love the thread, while reading it I couldn't help but think this is true, everything I've heard from training revolves around him being the aggressor, and this is simply not a good strategy, he can beat Pac off the back foot easily....no need to even make the night hard. The better boxer is Floyd.

My only issue is the fact that Pac is desperate for a KO, if anything can juice up Floyd is the fact that Pac couldn't even finish off Algeri. That may make Floyd think that Pac has no real power.

If floyd ran against a lightweight marquez, what stops him from running from pacquiao?

Yeah, Pac is doing this , Pac is doing that but never ever something is coming back from Mayweather like he would be totally shell shocked by a guy who was put into a 15 min coma by a lightweight shopworn Grandpa Mexican Brawler who has never been known to be a power puncher.

A telegraphed slow as molasses right thrown from the basement put Pac on his ass a few rounds earlier............Pac has never ever been able to avoid the right, he usually blocks it with his face and now he facing the best straight right hander in the business........you do the math.

    LOL.

    15 minutes or 15 seconds? Silly *****.

And LOL at making fun of hulk JMM KOing pac. He has 40 KOs in his career. Floid has 26 KOs.

What will Pac do to grandpa Mayweather?

Funny Roy jones said FM would have to ko pac to win cause if it goes to decision, Pac would likely win because of workrate.

    This is only partially true.
Chris was pivoting correctly, problem is Pac is so unorthodox with his lunging left, couple that with his freakishly fast feet, and your got 6 KD's.
Also, Pac has been throwing those right hooks, coupled with his underrated feints, to confuse Chris.
Fighting an opponent with a good straight and an equally powerful hook on the other hand messes with your thought process.

Bradley was desperate that is why he was inviting Pac to a brawl.
Pac was far too intelligent to be invited to such so he would take a step in to bait Bradley, and as soon as Bradley opens up, he would step out of range then quickly step in again to capitalize, but ever so slowly changing his punches from straights in between the guard to hooks around the guard and then slowly pivoting on one side, which again, would cause an instant reaction to cover up -- which is how Bradley reacted.

Mayweather is notorious for covering up when being assaulted.
So once Pac backs him up on a corner, we'll see how he'll react.
For as long as the fight is kept in the middle of the ring and FMJ fights the same way he did, he would be able to win on points.
If he has this crazy notion that he can walk Pac down and win that way, I seriously believe that he will get cut and lose on points.
Pac would turn him all night if he foregoes his huge advantage fighting on the outside.

    This is a great point.

It'll be interesting to see how things unfold on May 2.

Both will fight with full swing to make historical win. Both have no options for slight mistake which will help anyone to win.
