    Floyd's undefeated record to Marciano's.

    Marciano fought at HEAVYWEIGHT. A SINGNLE PUNCH up there and it's game over.

    To remain an UNDEFEATED HEAVYWEIGHT is WAY more impressive than being an undefeated WW.

    You can look at it from different perspectives.

    People say that Rocky didn't fight anyone.

    But for a limited guy (skill wise) to get to 49-0 whilst only weighing between 180-190 pounds, and with a height of only 5'10, that was some feat.

    Floyd was fighting champions while Rocky was fighting garbage men. Rocky had a padded record before stepping up.

    Yeah I had to laugh...

    Marciano only fought at top contention starting from his what, 42n fight? Against a bunch of either old past prime HW or former LHWs, and had to struggle to win.

    In contrast, Floyd fought at top level in his 9th fight all the way up to now, going up in weights some against naturally bigger guys, and hardly lost a round.

    If a single punch could end it for Marciano at any time it's more impressive that he went undefeated, kinda, but moving through the weights brings its own reward historically speaking for sure.

    Both extremely impressive.

    Marciano wasn't as great as Mayweather, simple as that. Marciano is a great boxer so don't get me wrong, but he was losing to an aging Walcott until he landed that one punch and he was also very close to losing against Ezard charles until he landed that combination. Charles was a light heavyweight aswell, a very good light heavyweight, but a light heavyweight and Marciano was getting a boxing lesson. Imagine what the likes of Ali would of done. It wouldn't of been close.
