    Yeah, what's that all about?
Is there some bad feeling between Irish Travellers and Gypsies?

Maybe billy was just playing the old Irish-English angle and meant nothing bad by it? After all he is big pals with Spike.

I remember when Alan Minter was about to fight Hagler he is alleged to have said he would never lose to a black man. Now Alan was a really nice guy, I really like him, but he got a lot of stick, whether or not he ever actually really used those exact words.

That sort of thing is so stupid, it ruins an atmosphere.

Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing has announced that this Saturday, April 18th, at The Paramount in Huntington, NY, Light Heavyweights Joe “The Irish Bomber” Smith Jr. and Cory “Black Ice” Cummings will now battle it out for the vacant IBA Continental Americas title over the 10 round distance.

Smith, 17-1 14KO’s, hailing from nearby Mastic, NY, will be going for his first belt as faces his toughest challenge to date in his young career taking on hard punching Cory Cummings, 18-8-1 13KO’s, Baltimore, MD.

Why is Carl Frampton not going for the LSC fight in May?
That's a mega opportunity for Carl to become a global star with world-wide exposure. But no talk about it at all. That's the fight (on the biggest Boxing event in years a truly global event) Team Frampton should have been pushing for,all along.
    Carl can fight Quigg anytime.
Some no-hoper is going to get all that exposure - opening fight on the PPV.
    Missed opportunity IMO.

Probably too short notice. He only went back into training camp on Monday. For a fight like that he'd want a full camp.

If he and his team were on the ball I reckon they should have been trying hard to get on this bill from the start.
Think of the exposure ..... Global audience.
They should have pulled out all the stops to get on it at all costs.
This is the biggest bill that probably will ever occur during Framptons career.

Dennis Hogan just got a bit of a gift over Tyrone Brunson, sorry to say.

    I had it a draw.

One judge had it 98-92 for the Hurricane, which just isn't realistic.

Remember hogan as an amateur, nice guy, tough fighter but didnt see anything that would point to a sucesfull career as a pro,
i think he has overachieved already,
Maybe ha can sneak a world shot as a handy defence, but cant see him working up the ranks of the top ten,

7-0 prospect Philip Sutcliffe Jnr is taking a massive step up against 17-3-1 Alexandre Lepelley on May 1st in Dublin. He's the guy who went the distance with Ricky Burns last year. Good fight for Phil, his team wants to move him up the Euro ranks quickly.

Could rushing Sutcliffe be a bad idea?
