Why is Algeiri so highly rated on here?

    I read a lot of comments regarding the Mayweather fight with Pacquiao and all I keep reading is about what either Pacquaio done to Algeiri or what Algeiri done to Pacquiao. Why is Algeiri so highly to even put him in the same sentence to Mayweather? I don't mean to disprespect Algeiri, but the guy isn't in the same league as the likes of Mayweather and Pacquiao and I can't understand why the guy's name is mentioned so much regarding the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight.

    hes not highly rated here, half of the Forum are disappointed at Khan for making a fight with him.

    He's a top 10 LWW.

    That said.....he's not a top 15 WW.

    This is a cherry pick for Khan who has a chance at a monster payday vs Brook, but is ducking until he can get a lesser payday in a more winnable fight vs Pretty Girl Roid.:patsch

    There are lots of Khan and Pac fans on here. Therefore he becomes a much better opponent by default.

    If he fought Mayweather and then Garcia then the same people who 'rate' him now would **** all over him as a fighter and rubbish his career.

    It's the Floyd fans who were rating him highly because they were desperately hoping he'd outbox Pac. Some of them are even now claiming he did. The others have just gone quiet.

    Nah. There is no guarantee Chris beats Cheaterson or Herrera either.

    I only mentioned Garcia as Pac fans seem to hate him almost as much as they do Mayweather.

    Garcia can't handle someone with anything remotely close to movement.

    Lamont SCHOOLED him for 5 rds not being hit until midway thru the 5th.

    Then, in rds 8-12, Lamont took the fight to Garcia and schooled him some more, battering him at will.

    Not syaing Algeri would win, cuz he'd likely lose, but if Mayweather is 47-0, Algeri would be as well with the same judges. :good

    A good boxer with great chin.. Smart guy and he's good given what he has.

    Definitely not elite. More like a non dangerous gate keeper that only works against brawlers.
