Those weren't arm punches. they were sharp counters and you saw .....or should have saw the way TC switched speeds on his shots. He's a well schooled for sure and has a lot of tools.

Crawford had it all under control the entire fight, but boxing is about hitting and not getting hit. You don't get points for measuring up and testing your opponent. In the case when neither has done more than the other, the aggressor takes the round.

 

Since there's no RBR thread, I'd like to point out that Amir Imam and Walter Castillo are having quite an entertaining tussle thus far. Imam's jabbing and sharp shooting from the outside, while Castillo continues to pressure and whack at his foe's ribs.

Mayweather might touch and go, but he certainly doesn't arm punch. I can see how his body moves. His hips are in those shots.

Arm punching is terrible, plus like someone else mentioned, if he fights someone with intelligent pressure, (admittedly rare in today's game because everyone gets credit for running around the ring and arm punching by spectators like you who want the sport to die), we'll see how effective those arm punches are when he takes a counter.

Let me ask you this, would you rather throw an arm punch and risk getting countered and land and not even affect your opponent or throw something that will make your opponent think about something?

Either way, anytime you throw a punch, you risk getting countered.

YOu might as well make that punch count.
