Heard it on the G****vine that Froch is ending his career v Tony Booth in a 4 rounder at the Pork Hall.

    PPV at £29.99

Simply has to be Golovkin or retirement. Degale means absolutely nothing to HBO or the American audience in general. 'GGG' is HBO's favourite son, they love the guy, the fight would be a legitimate Pay-Per-View on both sides of the Atlantic.

Would be fascinating to see how Froch copes with a genuinely world class banger with the boxing ability to go with it. My guess is not too well.

Have absolutely no interest in a Ward rematch nor much in Hopkins. Wish he would just fight Degale tbh but not sure that Chunky gets past Dirrell. That leaves GGG as the only name of appeal....but I don't believe that Froch has the hunger at this point in his career to go through hell like that.

    Think he'll retire unfortunately.

Think it is likely he may well call time on his career.

The Jr fight was certainly the low risk, high financial reward fight that he wanted to sign off with.

Strange that he gave up all efforts in trying to prove himself beyond a doubt the best in his weight class.
You would have thought he would have already been going out to avenge the Ward loss at any cost, if he was truly the warrior he's been portrayed as.
You'd think he'd want to knock Direll out too.
I mean, he comes across as a really motivated ego-driven fighter who'd want to erase those doubts.
I guess he figures he's past it.

He's no spring chicken, has money in the bank, all his marbles, and knows he's not beating Ward or GGG. I can totally understand it being Vegas or bust.

    Ward

    Dirrell

    GGG

    Degale

    All losing fights for Froch.

Froch is a victim of his own success really.

Heck I even think the aged Bernard Hopkins can genuinely beat him at this too.

Froch's problem was that he never learned 'ring smarts'. His endurance and power carried him through. Against pure boxers all that can be neutralised though.
