Yeah, don't get me wrong, I can understand ... and I'm not knocking his record.
But it just seems out of character for him. He's always seemed very driven and wanting to prove himself the best.

Think his body is also telling him what he has got left in the tank, not much.He has started to pick up various niggling injuries elbows etc also.

Chavez Jr was a fight he would of gone out as a winner with a large purse the other options therefore not so attractive.Lets face Ward II it goes the same way as the first fight.

I think they made an offer they knew Ward would reject.

Yeah, so Ward chose a 'big money' fight at home against Paul Smith. Froch's made several efforts to get a Ward rematch with no joy.

Ward may very well be not what he was. If Froch could have got Ward out of the happy days roid valleys Froch may very well have flattened him last time. And if Degale beats Dirrell Froch will be fighting him no bother, as he knows it'll be a piece of p i s s.

ward wanted none of it, hence no purse bids.

carl wants one more massive payday before he retires , i would imagine it will be degale in an all english mega fight as long as degale beats dirrell . if its not that then it has to be GGG but i see that fight as a very risky one for carl and the outcome may not be pretty .

I'd love to see him fight triple G, what if he wins though, will the haters denounce Golovkin as a hype job?

Given there's no chance of it happening we'll never know.

It's clear they want no part of GGG.

Froch didn't want to fight ward , asking someone who notoriously doesn't travel to fight in Nottingham only even when they say they'll fight in England is not what I'd say is wanting the fight

He wants to take the **** out of people. Wants an easy fight, that the public will spend a fortune on to give him (a multi-millionaire) even more money. The bloke is a disgrace.

Every single boxer on the planet in the position of Froch would look to do the same thing. He has had plenty of wars.
