I'm watching it now. It's definitely better than the SHO special, but of course it is.

It's clearly focused on Manny, they barely show Mayweather, but of course. HBO backs Pacquiao, SHO backs Mayweather. That's the way it is.

I would of rather the show focus on why Manny turn down 50/50 and OST. I still dont see any reporter or journalist press him on this issue. Why did you make up excuses like you scared of needles and that blood test make you weak? Why did you decline Floyd for all the marbles and fight Joshua Clottey for way less money? Why if you are so against random drug testing did you implement OST yourself after Marquez knocked you the f-ck out?

Did you watch it they mostly covered why the fight didn't happen go watch it again from start to 40 min all they talk about why it didn't happen. Everyone already knew that info and only spend 20 min about the rest

 

Not everyone knows what happened. There isnt even a consensus to what happened thats why fl0mos and pact@rds still argue why negotiations in the past 5-6 years fell through. The show wasn't made to cater soley to boxing fans but also to people who want to know what the big fuss is about. I think for an hour show, HBO did a good job summing up the events leading up to the making of the fight.

 

I would have preferred that they made a show detailing both fighters together rather than a show for each fighter seperately

 

It was an excellent doc. What I learned a lot more is how big of a father figure Roach is to Manny. But it make sense since Manny never had a father. Also thought it was hilarious when Manny joked about giving Mayweather whatever he wants they have to do that to death row inmates.
