I genuinely cant believe how stupid some of you are. Yes it is not a good opponent but what do you expect? He has had 11 fights with a fairly short amateur career. Yes he should go on and KO this guy within a few rounds, however he has a fight against Johnson on May 30th which is a good fight for this stage of his career, so he is hardly go on and face a really good opponent now is he?

This won't last long. God I'd rather they shoved Joshua in with Briggs to shut that old fruit cake up.

think their adding him to the bham show in the hope his presence will help shift a few tickets. As stated he has a stiffer test on the 30th of may, so was never likely to face anyone who's remotely a threat

Yep agree with the school of thought ticket sales are poor and he may shift a few more empty seats to those now following Joshua.

2015 domestic live boxing on sky has been awful no getting away from it.Birmingham following Leeds,Newcastle and Hull not even average shows, poor one sided cards.

Another awful show. Eggington fight is ****e as well, but at least he will pick up a vacant title. Horrific year for MR so far.

I agree it is a terrible show and that every fight is pretty damn poor, however to criticise AJ is just flat out ridiculous. The guy went the distance with Briggs, stopped in the 10th by Martin in his 22nd fight I believe and has gone many rounds with lots of other decent fighters. Its not a great fight, but its never going to be for an 11-0 prospect, let alone one that has a good test 3 weeks later. People point out that Rigo became champ very early in his career and Beterbiev has moved up very quickly, but they were very good and long time amateurs, AJ prior to turning pro had 6 years from never putting on a glove to turning pro so he will be moving slowly

It's acceptable considering how active he is being, he is going to be having 3 fights in 8 weeks with one being against Johnson, cant take to many risks considering this fight has been delayed twice already.

Zumbano is terrible he's been knocked out twice in his last 3 fights.

What's the odds on AJ being injured and not fighting Kevin Johnson 3 weeks later ?

Hyped for this one. AJ needs a tune up or 6.

Against Martin who is a decent prospect and Eric Molina who isn't a bad fighter either. Its not a good fight but it was never going to be, and its just idiotic that you think otherwise. I remember a while back a few people saying that AJ should fight him as he would give him good rounds but your conspiracy of this fight being made so AJ can pull out on May 30th is just idiotic also.

Does Eddie pay you to be his cheerleader on here? This is a sh!t and pointless fight.

He'd be better off having a sparring session that day but won't as Hearn needs to fill out another regional show.
