lmao, the funny thing was that was a good fight, all other points aside, holy that was a good fight, Sanders had quick hands, you got to give it to the gangly looking fool, he could really unload quickly, he hammered everyone he faced at least once, Vitali walked threw it and hammered Sanders back and then some. He beat him up over time bit by bit more and more. What a fight. Sanders wasn't the best heavy ever by a long shot but he had some of the best explosion of speed and power of any heavy weight.

To be fair I don't think Wlad was scared of rematching Sanders. It was just an awkward combination of factors that got in the way. I still think Sanders would have reeled off a second Wlad stoppage at that time though.

Sadly by that time Sanders was well over the hill. It didn't help that he trained less for Vitali (who I regard as the better Klitschko h2h) than for Wlad. Sanders was much faster and more mobile in his prime, which was wasted fighting nobodies.

I have gained a lot of respect for Vitali looking at his fights since then. The big Ukrainian has a rare combination of excellent sense of distance, timing and iron chin which make it extremely hard to get to him defensively.

IMHO Lewis did very well to cut him up for the stoppage, because there was no way that he was stopping Vitali conventionally. I would have liked to have seen the rematch :hey

Carnera had zero success clinching and bullying Louis, Louis manhandled him.:think

Yeah, and he wasn't called the " Ambling Alp " for nothing. No comparison between him and Vlad K in either strength, speed or mobility.

Carnera was 6'5.75"and scaled 260.5lbs for the Louis fight, a former circus strongman he matched up very well physically with Wlad who is 6'6"and 15/20lbs lighter than Primo and only 0.25" taller .

I never mentioned mobility or speed, though Carnera was surprisingly agile for his size, I was referring to size and how Louis might handle it ,from that point of view I think Carnera is a very valid comparison.
No one manhandled a prime Louis, not Buddy Baer or Abe Simon.
As to Primo's nom de guerre" The Ambling Alp " .
Johnny Nelson was called "The Entertainer"
    .Michael Dokes "Dynamite"
    Tony Tubbs"TNT".

    Q. Were they accurate descriptions of their styles and abilities?
    A . No.
Therefore your argument is a spurious one that's doesn't have a hook to hang its hat on.

Louis and Povetkin are the exact same height.

Can Wlad push a train down its tracks?

What part of that video footage were you not able to understand?

Wlad can't beat the ordinary guys of today without rigging the system. He doesn't beat any past ATG's.

    http://i.minus.com/ibbKpp5g9PTR5P.gif

Leading off , arms out with clinches may work in todays era , but in former great era's , that tactic will get you knocked unconscious.

You best believe that is all Wlad would have for Louis. Hell, you even admitted that yourself:patsch

And thats Louis fighting Wlad under his corrupt rules. Put Wlad back in Joe's day and he'd be just another name in the bum of the month club.

naturally we are talking prime vs prime,

    IMO,

Wlad beats Louis, Marciano, Liston, Foreman, Holy and Bowe by dec

Wlad knocks out Patterson and Frazier

Wlad has two very close fights with Holmes and Ali that both go the distance.

There is a chance Tyson knocks Vlad out or beats him via decision but its possible Vlad wins by decision if he can stifle Tysons speed and power.

I think Lewis is the only guy I would bet on to beat Vlad straight up either by KO or decision.

It really was a good fight. And I was kinda dissapointed that Sanders had come in weighing 235 and had sat idle for 13 months without a tuneup before facing Vitali. He likely would have lost regardless of whatever he did to prepare, but It would have been nice to see him as close to 100% as possible.

A 2012 Ring article Wlad against previous great heavyweight champs.

    Louis .Louis wins ko7
    Marciano . Wlad wins dec.
    Patterson.Wlad wins ko5
    Liston.Liston wins ko8
    Ali. Ali wins dec
    Frazier.Frazier wins dec
    Holmes.Holmes wins dec
    Tyson .Tyson wins dec
    Lewis.Lewis ko10
    Foreman .Foreman wins ko 10

^^ I disagree with Frazier the most. I think Wlad dusts him. Picking Foreman to win is fine, but in round 10? Bad call. Picking Tyson to win is fine, but via decision?

Wlad is not out of the money in any of these fights, and if truth is told the other guys would need to be at their best to beat him.
