Ref, not much. Judges, possibly a lot.

Kenny Bayless is fine to ref. Why? Because the only time you really saw Mayweather clinch Maidana was when Maidana was imposing his size and smothering Mayweather. The other times are when Mayweather used clinching to keep Maidana from returning a counter after he landed. Bayless was fine for all other circumstances.

Now, reason why clinching won't be a worry in this fight is because you won't see much clinching. Maidana has slower feet and smothered Floyd the entire fight. Pacquiao has incredibly fast feet and fights at a distance. Mayweather won't be clinching Pacquiao because he'll have little opportunities to. Plus, I don't think anyone has ever even succeeded in clinching Pacquiao. Regardless of whether or not Mayweather is the best clincher he's faced, stylistically, Mayweather still won't be able to. Plus, Garcia was partially at fault for not speaking up, and you can guarantee that Roach would.

    Now choices on the refs...

Two of the refs I noticed scored in heavy favor for Mayweather in the first fight. I thought Mayweather won clearly, but that it was still close. What this tells me is that these two judges favor defense and accuracy over activity and aggression. That's not good, so with that said, Pacquiao will most likely have to score a KO to win or at least put on such a dominant performance that there will have no choice but to give it to Pacquiao.

I'm surprised all three judges or American. I thought they would've chosen at least one international judge, but it's whatever. At least we don't have no CJ Ross judging the fight :thumbsup

Great choice. He always does a good job whenever he refs a Money fight.

  3. Bayless was disgraceful in the Maidana rematch. And he called Mosley's bodyslam of Pac a KD.

    :lol::lol::rofl:rofl:patsch

Did you not read my comment? You won't see much clinching, the only reason people complained.

He also stopped many of Pacquiao's fights when I thought they possibly could've gone on. Against Algieri, Bayless would've stopped the fight in the 9th. From my experience, he's good when it comes to calling TKO's. Like Khan vs Garcia, I thought Khan was fine, but he still called a TKO.

It will have a big affect he will try to not let Pac hit mayweather and if Pac manages to land with bayless stopping him he will break them of

That comment made 0 sense. How will he not let Pac hit Mayweather, lol? Only time is in clinching WHERE THERE WON'T BE MUCH OF.

Just stop. Bayless has always been fair to Pacquiao.

Pac likes to get inside at times and he will try to crank that left hand but bayless is far to eager to break things up he will not let Pac do his work he wants mayweather to win

Bayless is a good ref but for me he has given mayweather a lot of benefits

  8. No, Floyd will clinch as much as he can. He will use his size to muscle around and tire Pac out. Pac has no inside game and Floyd is not lost on this fact. I see Bayless breaking up the action in the middle of a Pac 7 piece combo.

Forget it buffy its blatantly obvious Manny will have no chance to win. They said boxing was corrupt in the 50's but its WAYYYY WORSE today . Bayless took over from Cortez as Vegas/Floyd ref & be honest can you really see any Vegas judge scoring the fight against Floyd?? No matter what happens I sure cannot. He I might not even wait a week & watch the replay for free . Any real boxing fan than wants to see a legitimate fight needs yo boycott this in my opinion

You're telling me Bayless is going to come in between Pac and Floyd when Pac is throwing 7 incredibly dangerous, fast punches. Yeah, okay.

PACQUIAO DOESN'T NEED AN INSIDE GAME BECAUSE HE FIGHTS AT A DISTANCE. Mayweather can only use his size if he can get to Pacquiao, but Pacquiao's feet are too quick. He can easily slip out and move. He isn't a plodder. It'll be much harder for Floyd to clinch than you think.

I'm more worried about the judges than ref. But yeah, like I said in the post, Pac will need a KO to win.

In ONE fight, and for a technique that won't be able to be used often.

Plus, Bayless has always been fair towards Pacquiao and I'm sure respects him.
