People claim he's the best fighter of his generation or the best in the welterweight division, so yes, defeat would make him overrated and expose him. A loss to Pacquiao would show that Mayweather was good, but his greatest adversary was better.

That's hardly over rated. Pacquiao is often held in the same regard.

If mayweather doesn't win at least 9 rounds people will say pacquiao was robbed end of story.if you think it's mayweathers first real test then you obviously don't rate the likes of Larry Holmes ,Aaron Pryor, shane Mosley or mike McCollum or Juan Manuel Marquez.pound for pound all time greats who have achieved less in their careers than mayweather has.

Mayweather is 38 and FAR from prime. As is Pac. this fight is way too late to have any real implications on either legacy.

Depending on how the fight goes, it could destroy his unbeatable aura though. There he is overrated by some imo, since nobody is even close to unbeatable.

He's an ATG either way though, they both are. This won't be Barrera-Hamed either way.

Mayweather's career has been built around the shoulder roll, and now going into the biggest fight of his life against an ATG fighter he cant even use the shoulder roll, its like Spiderman going up against Superman and Spiderman not being able to use his web!

Floyd is in trouble on May 2nd.

Why do you think the shoulder roll is the only thing he has. Its not he changes up.
