They absolutely would not. He is on national television and radio 5 days a week talking about basketball, baseball and football. That is his day job and primary profession. If you were a recruiter and you worked 5 days a week at a recruiting agency but once every 6 weeks or so you spent 2 days traveling to go paint houses would you be a recruiter or a painter? He's a talk show host who also ****yzes boxing. He started as primarily a boxing guy, but now he is not. Simple as that.

That's for you to say,... but future historians are gonna going to rip apart Mayweather's legacy and give Manny his dues...

Plus you only fight at home with a homeboy commission & homies as officials. Its kinda hard to lose with that strategy isn't it

Maidana is good and was coming off a lopsided win over Ring Magazine P4P #6 in Adrian Broner. Obviously Broner was rated too highly but still a good win.

Well he's only had 1 fight that an unbiased observer could call a controversial decision so that hasn't played into it too much.

If this is the case why would you quote him regarding boxing p4p greats? There is a reason you are quoting him BECAUSE HE IS RECOGNIZED, RIGHTLY OR WRONGLY, AS A BOXING @NALYST. You wouldn't (and didn’t) quote Al Michaels or Bob Costas, for obvious reasons, even though they are both sports commentators.

Sorry, I disagree with your premise in your OP. Kellerman has always been, first and foremost, a boxing @nalyst. Yes, he has expanded his horizons but to suggest he “can't commit enough time to the sport to be as good an @nalyst as he should be in order to represent boxing properly” is utter nonsense. He knows boxing like the back of his hand. This doesn’t mean his opinions are correct but they are based on what he knows about boxing. No more time or dedication to boxing is going to alter that. If you are suggesting he may have Floyd ahead of Manny as an all-time p4p if he just had more time, uh, no.

The reason I quoted him is because it was mentioned on the radio and he is a recognizable figure in boxing. That doesn't make him primarily a boxing ****yst. These days his primary profession is to be a talking head about mainstream sports. Sorry, that's the way it is. And no, he can't and doesn't commit the necessary time to the sport any more. Just last week he said on air that Quillin had vacated his belt because he missed weight for the Lee fight. He was completely unaware that it was Lee's belt on the line and that Quillin had vacated instead of fighting Korobov long ago. This is not a mistake he would have made when he was working primarily as a boxing ****yst. My original comment did not suggest that Max would have Floyd ahead of Manny if he had more time to commit to the sport. It was a separate point about Max that suggests he makes mistakes he wouldn't make (such as the Lee-Quillin one) that he wouldn't make if it were his primary profession.
