Pacquiao has lost 5 times and been knocked out 3 times. One thing we do know about boxing is that when you have been knocked before you can be knocked out again. When you have lost before you can lose again. That we do know.

That's fair. I used to not like him for some of his antics and particularly the domestic abuse. He seems to have matured in the last few years though. I feel the same way about B Hop. Used to really get under my skin, now he's all class and I respect him tremendously. I doubt I'll ever feel quite the same way about Floyd because of the domestic violence but I just don't want to let that blind me when it comes to how good he's been in the ring for a long, long time.

I agree to an extent. I agree that it's much easier to root for a classy fighter. I'm trying to separate the man from the fighter and judge his boxing career objectively. Some of the things Ali did weren't exactly classy, but for whatever reason people found it endearing.

    I agree. I think he's a great fighter.

Honestly for me, I think the answer to this thread will be settled on May 2nd.

I'm not sure who's going to win, but even if you have Floyd ahead now, it would be hard to justify him being ahead of Pacquaio if Pacquaio manages to win convincingly.

Completely agree. I have them very close right now and a win would jump Pac over Floyd.

Most already had him way ahead when he beat Cotto, and then he just went on to do more things. People just forget how small the guy actually is and keep expecting more. Its like the people claiming he was gonna be top 10 ATG if he went on to beat ODLH.

Put it this way, if back when he just beat Morales, someone made a thread and said where would you rate him if he went on to have the career he's just had, most would have had him in top 5 ATG, in fact there was a thread like that about 7 years ago and most said top 5 ATG. However like Floyd, fans forget how great he is and keep trying to move the goal posts.

Long after he's retired, Pac will be considered top 10-15 ATG by most. He was in most top 15-20 after he beat Cotto. I've been in this forums for 10 years, I should know.

RoFL Alex YOU are a fully fledged Floyd a holic but wont come out and admit it just in case Manny kicks his ass .
Make it a clean on the level fight with a legitimate winner & I'll be the first to congratulate him whichever wins

    won't be long now.

If on May 2nd, Floyd dishes a shutout, will you give props or will you whine about Bayless/Judges/Vegas even though it's clear as day that they didn't alter the outcome in any way, shape, or form?

But you've already claimed that it can't be a fair fight because 2 of the judges gave similar scores to what most boxing experts had in the Maidana 1 fight.

That is not true it was pretty even on those scorecards I watched a tape of that fight in a gym with about 20 people fighters, trainers a couple of managers too 15 at least thought those 2 judges cards were ridiculous. LOL one guy said yesterday " You notice Pernick the guy that scored the maidana fight 114-114 isn't judging this one lol
