A great jab is one that does its job. Wlad's jab is superb. He can use it as a ramrod to hurt his opponents and throw them off balance as they try to get inside (like he did with haye), he can use it pawingly as both a range finder and to blind his opponent so he can land his right like he did with Pulev, and he can vary it's rhythm to throw off the timing of a quick fighter (which he did brilliantly against Chambers). I'm not sure why he would need to move whilst throwing it.
It doesn't do its job. I know what i see. Povetkin got past his jab easily , like it wasn't even there. He couldn't land a jab on Haye's head for 12 rounds. Haye having a foot injury that limited his movement. He was out jabbed by Calvin Brock - who:huh What great jabbers has he fought?
In a slow paced fight with Haye retreating constantly, Wlad landed 105 jabs to David's 31. Over the 7 rounds Wlad outlanded jabs 62 to 26 over Brock. Care to take another approach to spectacular anaalysis?
Tyson isn't know for possessing a great jab but its better than Wlads as far as im concerned. It takes far greater skill and ability for a smaller man to come forward and out jab a bigger man than it is for a big man just standing there pushing his gigantic arm into small guys faces. In boxing circles its called knocking at the door. Bad technique Pushing out a jab from a half out extended arm position may go un-punished in todays weak era , but against the elite you will come un-done.
Vlad had the Jab and I believe the better right hand, also Vlad has late power. Lennox was more versatile from rds 1-8 could put on the pressure, was fluid and punched in bunches better than Vlad, Lewis was sparked 2 X with one punch, it took a few to get Vlad and he got up....that being said Vlad had a far better Jab, right hands about even
Please refrain from compua punch stat nonsense. Waving your arms about and feinting counts as a punch . Wlad landed no jabs on Haye. His arm was extended out fully and Haye ran into it was the only time he got hit by a jab. Another illegal tactic no less.
Once Wlad heats up about round 5 and gets on his toes, the Brock fight is one of the finest displays of HW jabbing you'll see. Wlad adjusted to Brock's awkward body attack and started stopping him cold in his tracks with hard crisp accurate jabs in bunches. Beautiful stuff in Round 6, Dino is a joke as usual.
180 times is the number of times Wlad cliched and hugged Povetkin. Thats 180 times Povetkin got past the jab. Go to Youtube. Type Allexander Povetkin vs Carlos Tackam into it. Watch Tackam shut Povetkin out for 4-5 rounds using his jab. No clinch , foul , bear hugs , head locks nothing. A jab. How come Wlad with his supposed 'great jab' couldn't do it?
Brock was knackered from Wlad constantly twisting his neck. Look at round 3. A full on wrestling match. Untill the end , Brock was winning the fight. Wlads power bailed him out of that fight. As usual.
Only Dino could watch a guy falling short with his own jab and getting hammered over and over in the face with head snapping jabs from Wlad..and conclude the other guy was winning the jab battle.
Are you claiming what i said didn't happen? Go to IBs RBR thread of the fight and read the comments. Ill be ignored on this matter because what i say is the truth and can't be refuted.
In others words..."I waaaaaaaaant you, to want me.......I neeeeeeed you to need me." Didn't I, Didn't I , Didn't I, see Dino crying.. Oh...Didn't I ,Didn't I, see Dino Crying Watching Klitschko knockout Pulev, made him feel like dying..
