    This makes sense. Although he'll be getting a career high payday, why split it with other sanctioning bodies in a match he is likely to lose?

    You can't for the WBC titles. He's fighting for the WBA title. He has refused the WBC interim title and the IBO (three sanctioning fees is a tad steep)

    This makes sense. Also, how incredibly stupid that this "interim" belt is being carried around by GGG every fight when Cotto vs Alvarez will be happening in the fall.

    Interim titles mean nothing, in boxing, the more popular guys get the fights, not the mandarories, Monroe understood that faster than GGG it seem.

    This could be a tough fight for GGG if Monroe runs. He is elusive and has pretty good speed.
