wants to come in over weight. Does that mean GGG does not have to make weight? Does that mean this has become a glorified sparring session. Monroe just chit his pants it seems, and blown his chance at the MW Crown. Is he under Haymon...LOL

according to monroe & banner promotions on twitter he was never supposed to contend for the wbc belt anyway, or the ibo, just the wba. reason he gave was to keep more of his purse.

I think Monroe will make weight for the weigh ins but is likely heavier 30 days out than the WBC allow for, or just doesn't care to pay sanctioning fees for the WBC interim title when if he manages to beat GGG he will be an actual World champ.

Very well then. No reason why he shouldn't be able to make 160 + drug testing.

Maybe he'll be even bigger than Rubio & Stevens in the ring (weren't they both @ 173 on fight night?).

Makes since one is a legit World title the other is an Interim belt and a minor org, why gave up more your purse than you have to.

Saying that can't see GGG losing at 160 lbs, 168 lbs he may struggle more but only Ward would be favourite.

don't rem what they weighed. but obviously Monroe isn't optimistic about his chances vs Triple G. why pass up being Cotto's mandatory? you either get another big payday & spotlight or a shot at unifying if he vacates. and if you can beat Triple G, Cotto would be a piece of cake.
