Jennings was really hard to pin down, constantly moving and hiding behind a high guard. Wlad dominated but it was more like the Haye fight in terms of exchanges, him consistently chasing. I thought Jennings did show a good chin without ever threatening. Overall Wlad had a comfortable night, more comfortable than the Pulev fight despite going the distance.
And that was down to the ref taking away his octopus tactics. Look at Wlad get ran around the ring by a feather fisted novice. Since he couldn't put his torso down over his back to tire him out , he didn't know what to do. He'll be back to his best once he returns to Germany and huggy bears some no hoper to exhaustion before knocking them out. He'll want no part of Fury.
wlad looked ordinary last nite because he wasnt able to do what he does best in fights, and thats grab and hold... its that simple. Thats why he will never fight in the states again because he wont be able to hold anymore.. :deal
One of Wlad's finest performances. He could not get the K.0. as Jenning's head movement and ability to fight at angles with foot and hand speed was tough to handle. He settled in and just outboxed a great, young, fast and talented athlete and in the championship rounds hurt Jennings and had him back pedalling. A great win for Wlad. Some opponents won't fold so you adjust and outbox them. Wlad did just that.
Jennings put a lot of efforts on his defense. He ran/move a lot and rushed with his head low constantly. He avoided trouble at many times. However, offensively he did little.
Yep. Didn't watch the fight but when Wlad isn't allowed to cheat, he sucks, even against people much smaller than him with little skill, because Wlad himself he's very, very average. But the heavyweight division is so bad that an average fighter, with nothing more than being big, athletic and allowed to cheat, is good enough to dominate. Laughable how people think he beats the likes of Lewis, Tyson, Ali, Foreman, Louis etc.
