I have to admit I have never seen him fight! Of course I've read about him in relation to other fighters, and was going to watch him on Youtube the other day. Any fights to recommend, McVey?
If they have any of his fights with Luis Rodriguez those would be where I would start. Maybe Gypsey Joe Harris, if its on you tube , If not then his matches with Jose Napoles (losing) are still good especially the first. He was known for being a workout warrior in the gym. As a trainer he got his fighters into shape as well.
Okay you want a row ,well bring it on Mr Navy Seals. I was learning about guys like Cokes when you were still in your Dad's ball bag.
Stable.Napoles,Hayward,Pavilla Lu**** are on You Tube Unfortunately I don't think the Rodriguez fights are.
mcvey you have become the most negative poster on this forum. All you do is make fun of what you consider "Average" fighters...which you consist of highly rated white fighters. The only contenders you ever praise of the 1950s are Clarence Henry, Nino Valdes, and Bob Baker. To you, everyone else was ****.
I'm just a family man now. I've settled down, make a good paycheck, work a lot of hours, have a fiancé...I am a huge New England Patriots fan with season tickets. I don't have that same craving for boxing like I used to. I have certain months where all I want to do is research boxing history on my spare time. Then I lose interest and stop visiting the forum for a few months. Wladimir Klitschko is my favorite fighter and I typically follow him year round. Right now this month I have the boxing fever so I am going to keep posting until I get sick of it. Next up most underrated technicians of the 30s 40s 50s
