No question about it. He's faced and beat better competition than just about anyone else here besides maybe TT. In terms of skill/fundamentals he does everything right, unlike the joke Wilder who hogs most of the limelight.

Haye is retired and therefore irrelevant at the moment. Those guys all topple him even though Wlad couldn't last night? He definitely beats Chisora, and stands a very good chance against Fury. Joshua might be the goods but is unproven against world level competition.

Based on who he's beaten, his skills/attributes, and how he looked last night. Based on his wins over Szpilka and Perez I had him as the clear #1 American HW h2h and ranking wise, last night only cemented it further.

 

Jennings should be considered the best American heavyweight. A good showing vs Wlad and wins over Perez and Szpilka trump Wilder's win over Stiverne. Malik Scott is a decent scalp but that fight was "iffy" for me for being on the level.

Agreed! Jennings is the top guy in Murica. Possibly #3 in the World behind Wlad and Povetkin. Joshua could turn out better though.

 

I agree with you. Jennings has a rather impressive resume, and I believe, far better boxing skill than Wilder along with an iron jaw.

 

Wilder would stop Jennings with in 4 rounds. Wlad fought like a scared pus*y last night.

 

Kind of like how he stopped Stiverne in 4 rounds? Who's much slower, and less defensively sound than Jennings. Jennings would beat hypejob Wilder, he's the more skilled and fundamentally sound fighter.
